Nebraska football fans are hoping that a big week of commitments is going to include two of the biggest in-state recruits in the class.

This week has been chock full of commits from Nebraska football prospects. Thanks to Thursday’s commitment of Donovan Jones, the Huskers have 15 commitments in its 2024 class.

Come noontime Friday, the number of commits in Nebraska football’s 2024 class could be up to 17. In fact, it feels as though it would be a bit of a shock if it weren’t 17. Now it’s just a matter of waiting and seeing what’s going to happen.

Two Nebraska football prospects are both announcing their commitments later on Friday morning. Both Dae’vonn Hall and Isaiah McMorris are making their schools announcement. They are in fact, making their announcements at the same time and it certainly seems as though they’ll be making those announcements in the same room.

The big question on Nebraska football fans’ minds is whether or not the two Bellevue West teammates might be on the verge of being teammates in college as well.

It seems almost a surety that McMorris is going to pull the trigger for Nebraska football. McMorris has been a lean towards NU for quite a while. Even if he’s looked outside the state every now and then.

Things are a bit more complicated when it comes to Hall.

There was a time when Hall and the Huskers were both thought to have soured on each other. The talk was that both sides decided to look elsewhere. But things changed last week.

Suddenly, recruiting experts decided that the Huskers were the favorite to land not one of Daniel Kaelin’s top targets in 2022 but both of them. If Matt Rhule and company make the clean sweep, it’s going to be one heck of a boost to the recruiting class.

Even if they only get one, they’re going to be getting another of the best players in the state giving their pledge to the Nebraska football program.
