Nebraska football recruiting efforts might be paying off as they are in the final four for a defensive back prospect committing on March 3.

Kennny Woseley is one of the best defensive back prospects in Pennsylvania. Should Nebraska football recruiting win the fight for him, that victory would mean a couple of different things.

That’s why the Husker coaches likely sat up and took notice when the Philadelphia prospect announced that he was down to four schools. At the same time, he also let it be known that four will very quickly be cut down to one. Woseley will be announcing where he’s going to commit next Friday, March 3.

Nebraska football recruiting is still fighting off three other Big Ten teams in the final four. In addition to the Huskers, Penn State, Michigan and Rutgers are all among the final favorites.

It probably shouldn’t surprise that all the last teams in the running are from Big Ten country. It appears that this part of the world is where Woseley’s heart lies.

Can Nebraska football recruiting win the Kenny Woseley fight?

So now that the Cornhuskers are in the running for the defensive back, are they in the driver’s seat? This isn’t the first time this month that the Huskers have been among the finalists for a top notch player who decided where he was going.

In point of fact, there have been two players that Nebraska football recruiting had its eyes on so far this year that have pulled the commitment trigger. So far, Matt Rhule and company are 1-for-2 and if we’re being honest, it would seem likely that they’ll be batting .333 when the smoke clears on March 3.

By most accounts, the team to beat for Woseley is going to be Penn State. According to On3, there is a 93 percent chance that this Nebraska football recruiting target is going to be a Nittany Lion at the end of the game. But there’s still a week to see if the Huskers might be able to put a dent in that and pull one out of the hat.
