Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball has been getting a ton of positive attention lately. That includes the attention that Keisei Tominaga got from future HOFer.
Keisei has been called the “Japanese Steph Curry” on more than one occasion because of his ability to make plays from the outside and occasion even make plays while driving to the hoop. It turns out the Nebraska basketball team’s latest success has even got some attention from the original Steph Curry.
Curry called out Tominaga on Twitter this week, giving him a nice shoutout as the Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball team is starting to make people wonder if they might be able to salvage the season, thanks in large part to Tominaga’s hot streak.
Tominaga has scored at least 20 points in each of his last four games and has hit 18 of 38 shots from beyond the arc in that time. That means he’s hit better than 47.6 percent of his three-point shots in the Nebraska basketball team’s last four contests. They’ve gone 3-1 in those games.
Other Nebraska Cornhuskers news
- The Nebraska baseball team lost again on Saturday night and for many of the same reasons as to why they lost on Friday. The offense has been bad so far this season, especially in run scoring opportunities. The 5-3 loss means they’ve been outscored 12-6 and are hitting 3-for-19 with runners in scoring position so far in this series.
- The baseball team did get a bit of good news on Saturday as they racked up another commit for the 2025 class. The second in a couple of days in Brett Hoelscher.
- While there was quite a bit of excitement for the Nebraska Cornhuskers women’s basketball game against Iowa on Saturday, things didn’t go as planned. Despite a record turnout for the contest, the Huskers lost 80-60, their fourth straight defeat in a season that went from likely bubble team to “will they make any postseason at all?”
- The Nebraska football team got some bad news as well. There had been a very outside shot that they’d be getting their first commit of the 2024 class on Saturday night as Marcus Goree Jr. announced his school choice. However, he ended up picking his home state Tennessee Volunteers.
