Former Nebraska football star Trey Palmer is trying to show just how much he can excel at the next level.

So far, so good, it appears.

While Palmer only played for the Nebraska football team for one year, he left behind an indelible legacy thanks to his record-setting season. After setting the record for receiving yards in a season, he went pro.

Now he’s attempting to show NFL scouts that he belongs, and if videos that have emerged from Senior Bowl practices are anything to go by, it appears the wide receiver has been blowing defenses away the same way he did on the field for the Huskers.

Nebraska Football Star Impresses

If there was any doubt from Huskers fans that the wide receiver was making a mark, the fact that the Senior Bowl featured him in a tweet should have wiped that out.

On Tuesday, it posted a picture of Palmer blazing past his defender and pointed out he’s posted the fastest time of any players taking part in the game.

Around the same time, as certain people were getting to take part in watching the practices, the Nebraska football alum blasted past another defender. A video showing Palmer giving the defensive player a move and then running past his man was posted online.

It showed just how quickly the receiver can hit his top speed when he’s allowed to just run.

That he’s able to do that kind of thing against some of the best veteran defenders in the country should impress everyone.

The good news is this kind of performance in practice likely means that Nebraska football fans will be able to see him shine plenty when Trey Palmer takes the field on Saturday. Those looking to see what he can do against players around the country will wants to turn into the NFL Network on Saturday, February 4 at 1:30pm.
