Nebraska Cornhuskers News: Juwan Gary injury, meet the new coaches, more
The Nebraska Cornhuskers basketball team lost a big game on the court on Tuesday night. They also lost one of their star players in Juwan Gary. The question now is just how long he’s going to be out.
Gary injured his shoulder in the first half when he and an Illinois Fighting Illini player were vying for a rebound. Gary reached over his head and back with one arm that was either pulled, or got tangled with the opposing player. Gary went to the ground in obvious pain and had to exit for the rest of the game.
Later in the game, he could be seen sitting on the bench with that seemed like about 5 pounds of ice taped to his shoulder. After the game, Nebraska basketball head coach Fred Hoiberg made it clear that the extent of the injury isn’t known yet.
Hoiberg said the team will do some testing on Gary. It doesn’t seem like there was much positive in his comments.
