The Nebraska Cornhuskers women’s basketball team lost a heartbreaker against Indiana on Sunday as they couldn’t score a single point in OT.
On the one hand, the fact that the Nebraska Cornhuskers were even able to go to OT in Bloomington is something that should be commended. That’s not going to make the 74-62 loss go down any easier though.
It’s going to be an especially hard loss to swallow considering Indiana scored all 12 points in overtime and the Huskers couldn’t muster a single bucket. Of course, at some point, even if they had managed to drain a shot, it wouldn’t have mattered much as they just came into the extra period ice cold. They also couldn’t stop the Hoosiers from going to the free throw line.
IU was 24-of-30 from the charity stripe. The Nebraska Cornhuskers were just 5-of-9. Even worse than the OT loss was the fact that this was the Huskers second straight defeat. After a good start to the season, Amy Williams has some work to do to right the ship.

I went back and forth.”
