The Nebraska football team has had this game circled on its schedule since the schedule was released. It’s long been known that the Michigan Wolverines would be the toughest opponent for the Huskers this year, even if the Cornhuskers were having a good season. They are decidedly not.

That makes the matchup with the Wolverines that much more one-sided. After all, the Cornhuskers are reeling a bit thanks to three straight losses to Purdue, Illinois and Minnesota. Meanwhile, Jim Harbaugh’s boys are 9-0 and looking like they could get themselves into the College Football Playoff if everything goes just right.

Michigan has weapons all over the field on both sides. On offense, they have Heisman-contending running back Blake Corum, who has already run for over 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns.  Quarterback J.J. McCarthy is having himself a season as well. He’s thrown for 1,600 yards and 12 TDs to just 2 INTs. He’s also run for 203 yards and 2 TDs.

On defense, the Wolverines have been a wrecking ball. According to ESPN FPI, they are 7th in the country in defensive efficiency. Their offense is 12th in the country. This is a balanced team that will likely cause the Nebraska football team a lot of problems, especially with Casey Thompson out again and now without starting safety Myles Farmer due to a suspension.

Nebraska football vs. Michigan Odds Week 11

The Huskers haven’t been dogs the way they are this week very often throughout the program’s history. However, plenty of people are still putting money on the Wolverines. FanDuel and WynnBet both have Michigan as 29.5-point favorites.

It’s not expected that the Huskers are going to score much of anything with either Chubba Purdy or Logan Smothers under center. The total has been set at 49.5 by both services.

Nebraska football vs. Michigan Prediction Week 11

While the Huskers are seemingly overmatched, it’s hard to think that this team is going to get romped on by more than 30 points.

At the same time, it seems like a very safe bet that the Nebraska football team isn’t going to score much and betting on the under seems pretty safe.
