When it comes to Nebraska football and the Miami Hurricanes, it appears that one team’s trash is another team’s treasure.
While most Nebraska football fans were watching the Huskers get dismantled 49-14 on Saturday against the Oklahoma Sooners, there was still a general feeling of relief that Scott Frost is gone.
Meanwhile, the Miami Hurricanes’ fans watched their 13th-ranked team lose 17-9 to the Texas A&M Aggies and it appears that those fans had a bit of a … reaction to the ‘Canes offense struggling like it did.
While Cornhuskers fans are preparing for what could be one of the worst seasons in program history, there’s been little to get excited about. That there could be more change on the way for the staff is one of those. If waiting to see who else might be shuffled out of Lincoln doesn’t make you all that happy, what about reveling in the misery of other teams?

Misery must be high for at least some Miami fans as the loss seemed to have broken them. The Twitter account Message Board Geniuses underlined that break quite nicely, highlighting some message board forum posts that showed posters freaking out a bit.
That included actual, real comments wondering whether or not Miami should hire Scott Frost.
No, these Miami fans were not calling to fire Mario Christobal and replace him with the former Nebraska football coach. However, it appears that they’re ok with getting rid of offensive coordinator Josh Gattis and replacing him with the former Oregon OC.
“Gattis is not the guy,” one fan wrote. “Frost is out there. Based on what Nebraska is paying him to leave, we could get him for a great bargain. At least bring him in for creativity purposes … co-oc?”
Other Twitter users weren’t so sure that the offensive coordinator was even to blame for Miami’s struggles.
What does appear clear is that while Nebraska football fans are struggling to deal with certainly seems like it will be the program’s sixth straight losing season, fans of teams like the Miami Hurricanes aren’t doing all that well despite a semblance of success.
