Nebraska Basketball: Teddy Allen ends his week in style over Penn State
Nebraska basketball got a great contribution from Allen on Sunday.
Friday, I talked about how Teddy Allen needed to step up for Nebraska basketball. Although the whole team had a rough game on Friday, including Allen, he certainly stepped up on Sunday. He made his presence known, and that’s exactly what the program needed.
He played with aggression, and he also played with purpose. He was extremely confident in his shot. He did a little bit of everything on the floor Sunday afternoon, and he was a huge reason for the win. In 24 minutes, he went six-of-11 from the field and two-of-four from beyond the arc. In addition to that, he had six rebounds and three assists. His 14 points led all Nebraska basketball players.

After struggling earlier in the week, it was great to see him really be able to put things together on Sunday. This is exactly the Teddy Allen that Nebraska basketball needs in order to string a couple of wins together.
This team is so close to playing well. Just look at what they did against Illinois. Teddy Allen is a huge part of what they do.
After not playing in the Nebraska basketball game last Monday, him getting the game-winning floater was poetic in a way. It was great to see him really explode and be the type of player that we all know he can be. Now, let’s just hope he can continue playing at a high level. I think he definitely can, it’s just about consistency with him.
After a rough week, this is exactly the type of game that he needed. It was the type of game that Nebraska needed, especially in conference play. I’m sure you’ve heard this statistic thrown around, but it is worth repeating. This was the first in-conference win for the Nebraska basketball program since January 7, 2020. That was a very long time ago.
Now, here’s to hoping that Nebraska can carry thus momentum with them to Maryland on Tuesday. This team is very close to playing well consistently, and they are certainly fun to watch.
