Nebraska football looks to get revenge this year.

In addition to some of the best out-of-conference matchups of the season, Rivals.com also took a look at some of the best in-conference matchups. One Nebraska game made the list, and as you may have guessed, it is when Nebraska travels to Iowa on November 14.

Without going into too much detail, we all know how the game ended last year. This year, the Nebraska football program will be looking for some revenge. Nebraska has not won against to the Hawkeyes since 2014, and Iowa fans will certainly let you know about it. Depending on how the season shakes out, this Nebraska team should be loaded with weapons they did not have for the game last season. Wan’Dale Robinson would be one of the weapons in question.

Iowa will be without players such as AJ Epenesa and Mekhi Sargent. However, they have two major weapons at the wide receiver position. Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Nico Ragaini should provide enough offense for the entire Iowa team. Last year, these two lit up the field. Smith-Marsette recorded 44 receptions for 722 yards and five touchdowns. Ragaini recorded 37 receptions for 439 yards and five touchdowns. They are certainly a dynamic duo for an Iowa offense that relied heavily on the run game last season.

I’ll be interested to see how this game plays out. Nebraska just recently established an Iowa connection. Landing walk-on Ezra Miller, that should provide some intrigue for this game. Hopefully, Miller will be a big part of the Nebraska line. In any event, this game really doesn’t need storylines to drum up interest. The Nebraska football-Iowa rivalry is one of the best in college football. The amount of intrigue it brings each time these two teams play is something special.

Honestly, I wish these two teams played more than once a year. This could be the year that the tide turns for Nebraska football. They have begun to emphasize depth on the offensive line, and have surrounded their quarterbacks with playmakers. Adrian Martinez should be able to have a bounce back year and Nebraska football has a great chance of piecing it all together.

Next. Three takeaways from Neville commitment. dark

Bragging rights will certainly be at stake come November 14. It would certainly make the season a lot more fun if Nebraska was able to pull out the victory. Who knows, with the way the schedule sits for the program, a win against the Hawkeyes may come at the perfect time.
