The wide receiver could be a major part of the Nebraska Football offense.

Kanawai Noa seems like he is already making a good impression on his Nebraska Football teammates. The wide receiver, who came to Lincoln via the California Golden Bears, is going to be another veteran player on a unit that has a nice balance of experience and youth. Nebraska Football certainly needs their offensive unit to be productive in the upcoming season.

One player who seems to be impressed with his progress is quarterback Adrian Martinez. Martinez already has a bunch of receivers to work with. Adding Noa into the fold is going to be even better. Noa brings experience to the table. Football-wise, he can run sharp routes and is not afraid to sacrifice his body to make a catch. I’m excited to see what he can do. It seems as though he is a quick learner, and that will certainly get him far in Lincoln.

Martinez had nothing but good things to say about him during media days. When the quarterback likes what you bring to the table as a receiver, that is always a good thing. If anything, that may lead to more targets moving forward. I personally have high expectations for him. He can be a tremendous asset for the program, and he should be able to play a valuable role on the wide receivers unit. Martinez indicated during the media days that Noa is progressing nicely.

"“He’s really good. He’s a really smart player, which is something I can appreciate,” sophomore quarterback Adrian Martinez said. “He already knows how to play all the receiver spots and he’s real reliable. He runs solid routes, catches the ball and he’s already left an impression, a strong impression, on all of the quarterbacks.”"

Of course, we have yet to see what Noa can do. The way Noa runs routes is certainly noteworthy. He is smooth and succinct when he runs them, and gets out of his break sharply and quickly. He should be able to be an effective receiver, and he should allow for Nebraska to have multiple receivers who can excel in multiple areas on the field.

Noa should be able to provide, at the very least, depth at the receiver position. Nebraska Football has had tremendous talent at receiver the past couple of years. He should be able to add to that. The fact that he is impressing those around him already is a testament to his skills. I can’t wait to see him put it all together.
