Nebraska Football is in the running for the talented Iowa Western prospect.
Nebraska Football has been very successful as of late when it comes to recruiting, and Thursday, they found themselves in the mix for a very talented junior-college recruit. 2020 Iowa Western Community College offensive tackle Jacob Gamble listed Nebraska Football in his top group for schools. He made the announcement via Twitter.
The other schools in contention with Nebraska are West Virginia, Kansas State, Louisville, Iowa State, and Houston. Those are certainly solid schools and Nebraska Football is in good company. There is a noticeable Big 12 Conference theme, so at the moment I will have to give the upper hand to a Big 12 school.

Gamble is not ranked in the 247Sports JUCO Composite Rankings. That may change as the season goes on.
Iowa Western may sound familiar. That is also where 2020 defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey plays. For what it’s worth, Winfrey said a couple of weeks ago that he enjoyed his visit to Nebraska. Nebraska could be building a pipeline with Iowa Western, and that is not a bad school to recruit from at all. They have many talented players on both sides of the football, and Frost would be wise to build connections with the school.
Gamble would be a tremendous addition for Nebraska. He is very steady on his feet when it comes to blocking the pass, and he is effective in clearing lanes for a running back. I do think that pass protection is one of his stronger abilities. That would work out well with the offensive talent that Nebraska Football has coming in. He is a solid player and I could definitely see him starting immediately. One of the great things about lineman is that they don’t need to have too many intangibles. They just need to be able to block strongly, and push their assignments back. As long as Gamble can do that, he certainly has starter potential.
This is a theme that I have noticed for the Nebraska Football program when it comes to recruiting. They want to focus on lineman. They are perhaps the most important position group within the offense. They are the players that make an offense function. I hope Nebraska can land Gamble, as he would be fun to watch in Lincoln on Saturdays. He has the talent and ability to be successful in big-time college football. Whichever team can land him would be very lucky to do so.
