Spielman get over 1,000 yards

During his first two seasons at Nebraska, Spielman has been dynamic. He went over 800 yards both seasons and last year, he caught 66 passes for 818 yards and scored six touchdowns.

Had Spielman not been hurt for the last two games of the season a year ago, he might have reached 1,000 yards but this season, it definitely feels like his year.

Stanley Morgan, Nebraska football’s other top pass catcher from last season is trying to get into the NFL and he finished off his career with a 1,000-yard season. Spielman is probably more of the big play threat than Morgan and it seems like he is due to breakout.

With more targets, Spielman should be able to improve his numbers even though more coverage will be shifted his way. That’s why it’s important for Nebraska football to get creative about getting him the ball. He’s the probably the most dynamic athlete on the offense and he will prove it next season.
