Palmer delivers a clutch performance

One player that has really disappointed during the seven-game losing streak for Nebraska basketball has been James Palmer and it’s not like he isn’t scoring, he just hasn’t been efficient.

Palmer only played 30 minutes, in part because of foul trouble, but in those minutes, Palmer delivered 23 points and late in the game, he made 3-of-4 free throws at the line and was 8-of-10 total.

From the field, Palmer was also good, knocking down 7-of-10 shots which is the best performance he has had in some time, including a 2-of-4 showing from beyond the arc.

While Miles has taken a lot of heat in recent weeks, this is a senior-laden team and at some point, guys like Palmer, Watson and Isaiah Roby needed to step up and assert themselves. Unfortunately, it wasn’t really happening but thankfully for Nebraska basketball, it finally did Wednesday night which kept Nebraska’s postseason hopes alive.
