Nebraska will win the 3-point line

If you are expecting a slow, grind-it-out kind of game between Nebraska and Seton Hall Wednesday night, you have another thing coming. Both teams are scoring lots of points this season, but it’s hard to judge what that means after two games.

Last year though, both teams averaged in the mid-70’s. Seton Hall does like to play at a decent pace, however, they aren’t going to shoot tons of 3-pointers. They have attempted 24 in two games and are shooting 41 percent. Nebraska basketball has shot 62 and is shooting 37 percent.

It will be interesting to see if Seton Hall shoots more perimeter shots against a legit team, but it’s hard to see them out-shooting Nebraska, especially if Palmer and Watson can keep going as they have been.

Palmer has only one triple, but he has set up many others. Watson has seven treys and Akenten has eight in two games. He’s becoming a dangerous weapon and now in transition, the Huskers are looking to shot as much as drive. This will be a fun game to watch overall but when it comes to the 3-point line, the Huskers will outscore Seton Hall.
