Offense: A

When you look at what the Nebraska offense did against Illinois, it’s hard not to be impressed. Forget that this is a 3-7 football team, the Huskers might have the most explosive offense in the Big Ten right now.

It certainly looks better than Ohio State and even though Michigan is super efficient, the Wolverines don’t seem quite as explosive as the Huskers. That idea was reinforced Saturday against Illinois.

When it was all said and done, the Huskers racked up 606 yards with 316 coming on the ground on 34 carries. Devine Ozigbo had three touchdown runs, two of 60 and 66 yards. Martinez was also stellar completing 23-of-34 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. He also ran for another score and 52 yards, which put him over 300 total yards again.

Stanley Morgan Jr. was also stellar, hauling in eight passes for 131 yards and two scores. The offensive line keeps improving and really, outside of going 4-of-12 on third downs and two turnovers, including one in the red zone, Nebraska football was just about perfect offensively.

Being more efficient on third down and cutting down turnovers will be key, but for that performance, a high grade was warranted.
