Not everything surrounding Scott Frost’s version of the Nebraska football program has been sunshine and roses. The hiring of Ron Brown still has some upset and other kernels.

The Nebraska football team’s fall camp starts up in less than a week. There’s all kinds of talk out there about who is going to be the quarterback and who is going to be the starting running back.

There is also all kinds of talk out there about why Scott Frost decided to hire a somewhat controversial former assistant coach. Ron Brown is officially in his third stint at the University of Nebraska.

The first two times, he worked as a position coach. This time, he’s technically a member of the athletic department’s front office but there are still some people in and around the university who aren’t big fans of this particular hiring decision.
