Former UCLA signee Bryan Addison is set to announce his new choice on Tuesday and picking the Huskers would be big for Nebraska recruiting.
Nebraska recruiting efforts have been paying off in a big way the last few days. If Bryan Addison announces he’s picking the Huskers Tuesday, it would be a giant victory.
Addison was a Top-100 athlete in the 2018 class and one of the best gets for UCLA head coach Chip Kelly. There was a bit of a problem getting enrolled in his school of choice and he was released from his scholarship late last week.
While he was looking at five schools right off the bat, he quickly announced he was down to four. Those schools are Arizona State, Washington, Oregon and the Nebraska football team. On Monday night he announced he would be picking a team at 10 AM today.
That time is Pacific Time Zone, which means it will be noon Nebraska time. There’s very little doubt that the Cornhuskers are the long shot here.

He originally committed to a West Coast school and is looking at three others in his final four. There is one factor that makes the Cornhuskers an intriguing dark horse in this race.
Addison originally committed to Kelly. The Huskers obviously have one of Kelly’s protege’s in Scott Frost.
If Addison picked the Bruins because of their offense, then he might pick the Huskers because their offense is similar. Certainly, Frost has put his own spin on that attack.
Some might say that spin is even better than where he learned, considering UCF had the best offense in all of college football a year ago. That’s why the Nebraska football fans are so excited about seeing what the offense can do.

If those in charge of Nebraska recruiting are as smart as we think they are, they’ve certainly been making it clear to Bryan Addison the offense is a big part of why he should come and play here. We’ll all find out soon.
