The Nebraska football team was a dark horse team for Bryan Addison.

The Nebraska football team has been having a very good couple of days. The team added two defensive linemen and an inside linebacker to its 2019 class.

On Tuesday, the team was looking to add a 4-star receiver in Bryan Addison who had already been a signee with the UCLA Bruins. Some oddities when it came to him getting academically accepted dragged on far too long and he decided to go to a different school.

Addison was officially released from his scholarship with the Bruins late last week. On Sunday he announced he was looking at four new teams. The Oregon Ducks, the Washington Huskies, the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Nebraska Cornhuskers.

On Tuesday afternoon, Addison announced he was headed to Oregon. It’s a rather big get for the Ducks, who just got a Top 100 player that will be immediately eligible.

Considering the West Coast bent of the schools Addison was looking at, the Huskers were always a longshot. The hope was that Addison looking at Nebraska at all was a good sign.

Perhaps the receiver wanted to play in Scott Frost‘s offense. It turns out that staying closer to home appears to have won out.

While Frost and company didn’t win this battle, it’s not a heartbreaking loss. Addison wasn’t even really a target until very late in the game considering he was a signee for the Bruins. The Nebraska football team can just take solace in the fact their 2019 class continues to just get better.
