The Nebraska recruiting efforts for the 2020 class have focused quite a bit on the wide receiver and quarterback position.

When it comes to the Nebraska recruiting efforts for the 2020 class, it’s a safe bet that Jordan Johnson is a top target. The wide receiver is not only incredibly talented but he’s within the 500-mile radius that Scott Frost and the Cornhusker coaches have said is quite important.

There have actually been two Husker coaching staffs that have offered Johnson. Mike Riley and company were the first to go after him from Lincoln.

When Frost and his group took over, they made sure the wide receiver knew he was wanted. Their interest is certainly warranted.

Johnson is considered the top player in the state of Missouri for the 2020 class by 247Sports. He’s also considered the 11th best receiver in the entire class.

Rivals actually has him rated even better. That recruiting site has him as the 8th best receiver in his class.

The talent is likely why he is so sought after by so many teams. It wasn’t that long ago that he took a visit to Ohio State.

Now he’s announced that he will be visiting Florida at the end of July. To be specific he’ll be checking out Florida on July 27.

Even with those scheduled visits, the people who have guessed on where he might be going have said that Notre Dame is the most likely landing spot.

It should be pointed out that the 4-star prospect has not had his temperature taken for quite a while since those predictions to the Fighting Irish were logged.

Can Ohio State steal him? Can Florida? Is there a chance the Nebraska football team could sneak in? They’re going to need to get him here for an unofficial visit if they want to have any chance.
