Nebraska football: Darwin Barlow names Huskers in Top 10

Darwin Barlow cut his list of teams he’s considering in half and the Nebraska football team was able to make the cut for the 4-star back.

The Nebraska football team has been working hard to bring in talented running backs in the 2019 class. Darwin Barlow might end up being one of those gets as the Texas back has named the Cornhuskers among his Top 10 favorite teams.

Barlow celebrated the fourth of July by cutting his offer list nearly in half. The back, who is rated 3-star by the 247 Composite ratings and 4-star by Rivals has 19 total offers but is going to be focusing on 10 teams from here on out.

In addition to the Huskers, Barlow named Minnesota, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisville, Baylor, Houston, Oklahoma State, LSU, and TCU as the teams that still have a shot at gaining his commitment.

It should come as no surprise that the Nebraska football team has some serious interest in Barlow. The Newton, High School running back had quite a bit of improvement from his first year to his second.

Even that first year was impressive, as he rushed for 1,111 and six touchdowns. Last season, he more than doubled his production.

As a junior, he rushed for 2,246 yards and 12 touchdowns. The really good news about this particular talent is that he can catch some passes as well.

Last year he caught 14 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns. He’s clearly got the speed to be a great get for the Huskers, as demonstrated by his 11 yards per carry average a season ago.

Now that Darwin Barlow has narrowed down his teams, it’s only a matter of time before the Nebraska football team finds out where they stand with this talented running back. While the team already has several commits at running back, it’s safe to say Barlow is one the Huskers would still take.
