Nebraska recruiting: Jamie Nance has Huskers in Top 7, tips off commitment date
The Nebraska recruiting efforts have paid off when it comes to Jamie Nance, who has put the Huskers in his Top 7 ahead of an impending commit.
The Nebraska recruiting efforts in June have been nothing short of awesome. The Huskers grabbed several commits at positions of need.
Now in a dead period, the Nebraska football coaching staff is going to be doing a lot of waiting and watching. One player Scott Frost and company will be watching extra close will be Jamie Nance.
Nance just announced his “Final Seven” and the Cornhuskers have made the cut. They have some rather impressive company they’re going to need to fight off if they want the three-star wide receiver to commit.
Missouri, Baylor, Mississippi State, TCU, Notre Dame and Ole Miss all join the Huskers on the list. Nance is just off a visit to Lincoln where he seemed to thoroughly enjoy what he saw.
The Nebraska football team will have to hope they were able to sell what he could bring should he make Lincoln his home next year. Nance visited Notre Dame just one day after the Huskers and now those two visits are going to be ruminating as we go the next month through this dead period.

There is something to look forward to after this quiet time is over. Earlier this week Nance posted a date on his Twitter account.
At the time it wasn’t clear if that date was his expected commit date or something else. With this current cut down, it seems more than likely it is indeed the day he intends to announce what college he’ll be attending.

Over the course of the year, many football players have said they want to commit before their senior season starts. If Nebraska recruiting has done its job well, then Nance could be a Cornhusker on August 31.
