Nebraska recruiting: Mycah Pittman hints a commit announcement is coming soon
Nebraska recruiting has been ramping up over the last few weeks.
Nebraska recruiting efforts over the last few days have had a severe bent towards the offensive line. That doesn’t mean the Nebraska football team wouldn’t love to get a top of the line receiver in Lincoln.
One of the top targets in that position group, Mycah Pittman hinted Sunday night that he’s about ready to wrap up his recruiting. The rather cryptic tweet didn’t shed any light on where he might be going.
“My mind is made up” is all Pittman sent out and his Twitter account hasn’t been helpful when it comes to what he’s made it up about since. While it’s entirely possible he’s teasing his followers, it seems likely a commit announcement is incoming.
The reality is, that’s likely not great news for Nebraska recruiting. While Pittman did include the Huskers in his Top 6 a few months back, the consensus is that the four-star receiver from Calabasas has lost interest in the Huskers.
Considering he’s the 12th ranked player in California, and the 12th ranked receiver in the entire 2019 class according to 247Sports, that’s a shame. Perhaps quarterback Tristan Gebbia can get on the horn and talk his old teammate into looking Harder at the Huskers one more time.
247’s crystal balls have Pittman leaning hard towards the Florida Gators. Oregon appears to also still very much be in the mix.
With 31 offers on the table, it’s anyone’s guess as to just where he’s made up his mind to go. I would be great if the Nebraska football team could be the darkhorse in this race, as they do have several players from California who could help ease him into Lincoln life.

It’s a safe bet that’s something those carrying out Nebraska recruiting towards Mycah Pittman have pointed out more than a few times. Now it’s just time to see when he makes an official announcement.
