The Nebraska football team continues to roll out the offers to some of the nation’s most talented players. On Tuesday it was to 2020 safety Lathan Ransom.
While the Nebraska football team has been on a roll when it comes to the 2018 and 2019 commits, the 2020 class is a bit skimpy so far.
The Huskers are doing everything they can to take care of that skimpiness by getting out a ton of offers, much the same way they have for the 2019 class. One of the latest offers went out on Tuesday.
Arizona safety Lathan Ransom he’is one of the latest class of 2020 targets to officially get an offer to play football in Lincoln. That offer shows that the Cornhuskers are still looking to shore up a secondary that has been a bit leaky in the last few years.
Extremely excited and blessed to have received my seventh division I, and second Big 10 offer from the University of Nebraska!!!! 🛑🛑#Huskers #Big10 pic.twitter.com/wP5rSmAsaE

Nebraska thinks they did indeed shore up that unit on Tuesday when they got a commit from JUCO cornerback Will Jackson III. Ransom, not technically able to step on the field for a college team for another two seasons, would help the Cornhuskers in the future.
According to 247Sports, Ransom is the 16th best safety in the 2020 class and the 9th best player in the state of Arizona for that class.
While the defender doesn’t have a ton of offers just yet, the interest from FBS schools continues to increase. In addition to the Huskers, Ransom has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, Utah and Cal from the Pac 12.
The Cornhuskers are also going to be doing battle with the Indiana Hoosiers for Ransom’s services. The good news is that so far, the Cornhuskers aren’t having to compete with the Big Ten’s big boys for this safety, who stands at 6-2 and weighs in at 183.

The recruiting cycle is still pretty young for Lathan Ransom. The Nebraska football team will just have to keep working away to stay in his good graces moving forward.
