The Nebraska football team got its second commit in two days and fourth commit since Friday morning in Will Jackson.

To say the Nebraska football team has had a good couple of days would be a massive understatement. With the announcement by JUCO cornerback Will Jackson III, the Cornhuskers have their second commit in two days.

Even better than that, the Huskers have their fourth new addition to the team since Friday morning began. Since that morning, the Huskers have added what will likely be a defensive tackle, an offensive guard, a quarterback and now a cornerback.

In other words, Scott Frost and company are working hard to improve damn near every position on the team. When you consider over that period of time they found out they are in very good standing with one of New Jersey’s best running backs (no not that one) then you can imagine why the coaching staff is walking around Lincoln with big smiles on their faces.

Things appear to be really rolling downhill for the staff these days. It’s interesting to see just how hard they continue to recruit the JUCO ranks.

Jackson is the second junior college commit of the bunch since Friday. Interestingly enough, he’s the third JUCO player that has committed to the Nebraska athletic program since Friday.

The baseball team got in on the act last week as well. There’s very little doubt that the Huskers believe they need to fix certain parts of their team right away.

They aren’t willing to wait until a true freshman either takes a year to mature, or bucks the trends and finds the field and plays well right away. We’re going to find out whether or not that approach works long term for the Nebraska football team. In the meantime, here’s what you should know about Will Jackson III.
