Nebraska football: Suh makes NFL’s Top 100 list for eighth time
The former Nebraska football star has made the list every year it’s been compiled.
Former Nebraska football all-world defender Ndamukong Suh has made the very prestigious NFL Top 100 list again. While making the list is something NFL players likely aspire to, it’s become a bit ho-hum for one of the league’s best defensive linemen.
Suh has managed to make the list every year that it has been released. That means this year is the eighth straight time he’s achieved it.
Despite moving to a new team this spring, it appears the league still believes he’s going to be an impact player as the new Los Angeles Ram is ranked 61st on that list.

Suh is one of three Rams to make it and is the highest ranked of the trio. Offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth clocks in at number 87 and cornerback Marcus Peters is number 79.
It’s no wonder the former Cornhusker has managed to get the attention of the NFL so often. Over his eight-year career, he’s logged 51.5 sacks and appeared in the Pro Bowl five times. He’s also got three separate First-Team All-Pro designations.
Suh’s reign as one of the best defenders in the sport certainly didn’t start with the NFL. In his final year with the Cornhuskers, he was easily the dominant defender in the NCAAs.
The defensive tackle was in fact so good, there was some talk about him possibly winning the Heisman trophy. While that campaign fell short, it went quite a bit further than any with a rooting interest in a defensive lineman should ever be expected to last.
He started his pro career with the Detroit Lions, and had his best career season in his rookie year. In 2010, he recorded 48 tackles and 10 sacks. He also had his lone career interception.

After departing Detroit as a free agent, he signed a lucrative deal with the Miami Dolphins before the 2015 season. This offseason, Miami cut him loose and he signed a one year deal with Los Angeles Rams. Before that deal, the former Nebraska football star was one of the most sought-after free agents of the class.
