There are at least two newly announced transfers that should at least get a look from the Nebraska basketball team including a scorer available this season.

The Nebraska basketball team has already gained one transfer this spring. There are now two new players on the market that would both help the Huskers should Tim Miles manage to land them.

The Cornhuskers are in a bit of a state of flux right now. They thought they were going to be landing one of the better guards in the 2018 class.

Xavier Johnson even signed a letter of intent. Then assistant coach Kenya Hunter announced he was headed to UCONN.

Johnson backed all the way off on his commitment. A few weeks later he announced he was headed to Pitt instead.

That left one opening in the 2018 class. The Huskers tried to fill it by going after a big man, but they recently lost him to Virginia.

The problem is that when it comes to James Palmer Jr and Isaac Copeland, the Cornhuskers are playing a waiting game. Both players have announced they are looking at their NBA Draft possibilities.

Neither player has hired an agent. That’s good news. They also haven’t been invited to an NBA Draft combine.

The problem is that neither one has officially withdrawn and said they are going to be at Nebraska next season. Not only would that leave a couple of roster spots empty, it would mean the Huskers lost two of their best players at the same time.

Tim Miles is one that has mastered the art of rebuilding quickly. Palmer and Copeland are both transfers.

They’re both transfers that had less than impressive numbers at their previous schools. At least one of the players still on the market put up numbers that should make Nebraska basketball fans eyes pop out of their heads should they land him.
