One of the top class of 2020 wide receiver targets for the Nebraska football team continues to get attention from Power 5 schools.
Jordan Johnson might be the top wide receiver target for the Nebraska football team in the 2020 class. The Cornhuskers got yet another competitor for his services on Tuesday night when Kansas gave him a scholarship offer.
No, it doesn’t appear that on its face, the Cornhuskers need to worry about the Jayhawks. The offer from yet another Power 5 conference school does show just how good coaches around the country feel Johnson is.
The receiver, who stands 6-2 and weighs in at 180 pounds is currently boasting 18 offers. Quite a few of those have come in the last few weeks.

Recently the St. Louis native started having schools that are a bit closer to home make it clear they want him playing for them. Both Missouri and Kansas have offered this year.

Those scholarship offers can be thrown on the pile with teams like Alabama, Notre Dame, Iowa, Penn State and Ohio State. It’s no wonder there are powerful squads looking at trying to reel Johnson in.
While it’s too early for a composite listing, 247Sports is plenty high on the receiver. He’s started out as the second-best player in the entire state of Missouri. He’s also the 17th best receiver in the entire class.
Jordan Johnson is also the 90th best player in 2020. It’s going to be a steep hill to climb for the Cornhuskers.
The good news is Scott Frost and company have reiterated they want Johnson in Lincoln. The Nebraska football team under Mike Riley was an early offer.

That could be a boon for Frost, but at the moment, there are a handful of predictions on where Johnson is going to end up. Both of those predictions have said he’s likely going to be going to Notre Dame.
