The Nebraska football team has offered one of the best offensive linemen in the 2020 class.

The Nebraska football team issued a new offer to offensive lineman Andrew Gentry on Wednesday night. The offer is just the latest in what has been a swath of offers to members of the 2020 recruiting class.

Earlier in the day, Scott Frost and his staff had re-upped their interest in one of the top wide receivers in the class in Jordan Johnson. Johnson has been getting a ton of attention from some of the top schools in the country.

It appears the Cornhuskers are wanting to make sure that they are staying in the minds of some of the best players in the class. Gentry certainly fits that bill.

While 247Sports doesn’t yet have a composite ranking, he has gotten a nice singular rating of four stars. He’s currently ranked as the second-best offensive tackle in the state of Colorado.

Gentry is also ranked as the 27th best offensive tackle and the 217th overall best player in the 2020 class. It’s not hard to see that there are plenty of schools who believe he’s exactly as good as his early rankings indicate.

Andrew Gentry already has 12 offers from some of the biggest and the baddest in the college football world. That includes Oregon, USC, Wisconsin and of course now the Huskers.

There is a long way to go before this offensive tackle is going to be naming even his favorite school. The good news is that the closeness of Colorado means that Nebraska football isn’t at a real deficiency when it comes to going up against Pac 12 teams.
