The Nebraska football team appears to be stockpiling linebacker offers. This time the Huskers have made an official offer to Texas’ David Gbenda.

On Saturday night, the Nebraska football team went out and offered yet another talented linebacker. While the Huskers have just made the cut with the best linebacker in the class, the coaching staff is looking to stockpile talent at that position.

David Gbenda is a much sought after inside linebacker from Texas that has already garnered a ton of offers from major programs. A 3-star prospect from Rivalsthe Cornhuskers stand out in offers mainly because almost all of Gbenda’s offers so far have come from Big 12 schools.

Baylor, Iowa State and Kansas State stand out from the pack, but Houston and SMU have also shown quite a bit of interest in the linebacker. One former Big 12 region school in Missouri has also made their interest well known.

The Cornhuskers are the only school from the Big 10 currently after Gbenda and that could bode well should he choose he wants to get out of Texas. The Husker coaching staff has made a habit out of going after Katy, Texas prospects in the last few months.

It appears they like the prospects from that region quite a bit. Now the Nebraska football team is just going to have to see how much progress they can make in the next few months.

Considering David Gbenda has already racked up 13 offers, it seems as if the linebacker is getting more attention the deeper into the 2019 recruiting cycle we go. There’s no word yet on when he plans to announce any sort of pairing down of his top schools.
