The Nebraska football team has been having good luck in recruiting this week.

While the Nebraska football team has one new commit this week, they have had other kinds of luck as well. One new target, Bobby Wolfe announced he had decommitting from Texas A&M just one day after the Cornhuskers made their offer.

Wolfe, a talented cornerback in the 2019 class has plenty of suitors. It’s entirely possible that the number of teams coming after him had more to do with him reopening his recruiting more than the Huskers interest.

Still, the timing of the two events is certainly interesting. Perhaps Scott Frost and company have even more mojo than we realized. According to 247Sports, Wolfe is a 4-star prospect that might be leaning towards LSU these days.

The good news is that while the cornerback is leaning towards the Tigers, it’s hardly a strong lean. Out of Houston, Texas, Wolfe is the 19th best cornerback in the class and the 26th best player in the entire state of Texas.

With 28 offers and no indication that he’s going to be cutting down the list soon, the Cornhuskers have a long road to hoe. At the very least, we know the Huskers aren’t attempting to get a player to decommit from another school, as that has already been handled.

Bobby Wolfe is just the latest in what has been a strong recruiting push this week. Interestingly, while it doesn’t appear to be the position he’ll play in college, Wolfe has played some running back. The running back position is one that has been a focus of the Nebraska football staff this week.
