Nebraska football going hard after Michigan commit
The Nebraska football team offered Michigan commit Trente Jones just weeks after he chose the Wolverines.
The Nebraska football team has been having a busy Monday. The coaching staff doled out quite a few offers during the day.
Those offers included at least one to an offensive lineman from Georgia that has already committed to a conference rival. Trente Jones has been committed to the Michigan Wolverines but it appears the Cornhuskers think he can still be had.
Jones is a three-star offensive tackle who is among the best in the class at his position. Rivals recently had him jump up the ranks at the offensive tackle position. He’s not the 35th best player at his position in the 2019 class.

Jones is also the 36th best player in the entire state of Georgia according to Rivals. Jones announced he had received an offer from Nebraska on his official Twitter account on Monday afternoon.

The Cornhuskers already got a bit of a boost on Monday. Scott Frost and the rest of the staff already secured a commit of their own in Norfolk Catholic’s Ethan Piper. Getting that commitment appears to be a little bit of a shot in the arm for their mojo.
There’s no telling just what kind of shot the Huskers have when it comes to actually drawing Trente Jones away from the Michigan Wolverines. The good news is that there is going to be plenty of time to lure Trente Jones away.
The Nebraska football team has plenty of mojo when it comes to getting players liking them. The added bonus is that Jones is from Georgia so he doesn’t have a kind of ingrained draw to Michigan.
