Nebraska football: Former Florida commit, top rated receiver, gets Husker offer
The Nebraska football team is wasting no time trying to put together a great 2019 recruiting class.
The Nebraska football team is fresh off a great 2018 signing day. Now Scott Frost and company is working hard to make sure that the 2019 signing day class is just as good.
It should come as no surprise that the staff is doling out 2019 offers. They had been doing that even while they were still working on the 2018 class.
The latest Husker offer has gone out to wide receiver Frank Ladson Jr. The receiver is not only one of the best players in the state of Florida for the 2019 class, but one of the best players in the entire class.
Ladson is a recent free agent, having decommitted from Florida after spending most of last year as a future Gator. It appears that once Dan Mullen took over the program, Ladson decided he needed to check out what the rest of the country has to offer.

While the Nebraska coaching staff has had quite a bit of success going after Florida talent, they are going to have their work cut out for them. Ladson is getting offers from some of the best programs in the country.
Those programs include Clemson, Georgia and Alabama. That makes sense, considering the receiver is the fifth best in the class at his position and the 43rd best player overall.
Someone like this will be the real test for the new staff. Can they parlay the goodwill and excitement they’ve built in Lincoln into getting players like this?
The Nebraska football team has been aiming high under Scott Frost. Going after someone like Frank Ladson Jr hasn’t panned out well in recent years. We’ll see if that pattern can be changed under the current staff’s regime.
