Nebraska football makes final three for defensive back recruit
The Nebraska football team made the final three schools for Taiyon Palmer. The defensive back will commit on signing day.
The Nebraska football team has been on a real roll this last month. Commits from players like Dominick Watt have brought the team into the Top 25 classes.
Now the Huskers have made the cut for one of the best defensive backs still on the board. Taiyon Palmer announced on Sunday night he had cut the schools he’s looking at down to three.
Along with the Cornhuskers, Palmer named North Carolina State and Tennesee as the final three schools. He also said he won’t be cutting the schools down again until signing day.
That means the schools are now going to be waiting for the player that Rivals has as a three-star player and 247Sports ranks as a four-star defensive player. Palmer had been a commit to Duke earlier in the year.

That means that not only can he play football, but he’s clearly got some serious smarts going on. That’s a trait Scott Frost and company would love to bring into the fold.
For their part, 247Sports believes the defensive back is heavy lean to North Carolina State. At the same time, the Huskers have made up some serious recruiting ground in the last few months.
While the Cornhuskers haven’t won every recruiting battle they’ve fought in the last few months, they’ve won quite a few more than they’ve lost.
The battles they have lost have tended to be players they didn’t spend a great deal of capital on. The players they have put a great deal of effort into, tend to be ones that eventually pick the Cornhuskers.
Now the Nebraska football team, North Carolina State Wolfpack and the Tennessee Volunteers will have to wait just a handful more days to find out where Taiyon Palmer is headed.
