Nebraska football makes the cut for highly touted 2019 receiver
The Nebraska football team made the first cut for ESPN 300 and Rivals 250 wide receiver Marcus Washington.
The push for the 2019 class to be one of the best the Nebraska football team has seen got a bit of a boost on Saturday. One of the best recruits in the class, wide receiver Marcus Washington divulged that the Huskers were still in the race for his services.
Washington made it clear the “cut down” he issued on Saturday was earlier than expected. This is likely why the “cut down” also included an awful lot of teams.
Washington, a four-star prospect is lighting up the recruiting services. The wide receiver is listed as one of the ESPN 300, as well as Rivals 250.

In addition to the Huskers, Washington is still looking at Wisconsin, Ohio State, Michigan and others in the Big Ten alone. It’s a safe bet there are going to have to be other cut downs before we have a real sense of where Washington is really leaning.
It also really shouldn’t come as a surprise that he’s still got so many schools on the hook. The 2018 recruiting class isn’t even in the books.
There’s also a chance that the makeup of the programs he’s looking at could change drastically in the coming season. The Nebraska football team is one that Husker fans all over the world becomes a contender sooner, rather than later.
It’s not strange that Marcus Washington would want to wait and see what happens. The good news is that the Huskers are even still in the mix.
