The Nebraska football team has been going after 2019 prospects all week. On Friday night the team offered the best player in Kansas City.

While the 2018 recruiting cycle is still going on, the Nebraska football team briefly turned its attention to 2019 target Danielson Ike on Friday.

The Huskers have actually been spending quite a bit of time doling out offers to 2019 targets. Ike stands out because he’s among the best, if not the best player in all of Kansas City.

A four-star prospect according to Rivals, Ike is the fourth best player in the state of Missouri. He’s also the 26th best offensive tackle in the entire class.

Despite weighing in at 6’6 and 315 pounds, the tackle has not yet gotten a ton of attention. In fact, the Cornhuskers were just the fifth FBS school to give Ike a scholarship offer.

That could help as the 2019 recruiting cycle continues. Nebraska has managed to get it foot in the door for one of the better players in the class.

The Huskers have been red hot on the recruiting front lately. They’ve secured three commits this past week, and have jumped up the recruiting rankings.

A Top 25 finish appears to be within sight for Scott Frost and company. That would only help them get a good start on the 2019 class when it officially kicks off after signing day next month.

At the moment, the Nebraska football team is going head to head with Temple, Kansas, Syracuse and Bowling Green. It’s a safe bet Danielson Ike will be getting more attention moving forward.
