HuskerCorner talked to Nebraska football target Kenneth George Jr about his latest offer.

Nebraska football target Kenneth George Jr. might not be a recruit you’ve heard a whole lot about yet. That’s going to change when more schools get a look at his Trinity Valley CC film.

The JUCO defensive back, who would have three to play three for whatever team he signs with in February got a Husker offer over the Holiday weekend. Since then HuskerCorner has spoken with George and it appears Scott Frost and company has done a heck of a job selling the program.

More than that, it appears Husker fans have sold him on the program. When talking about the things that have really grabbed his attention when talking about Nebraska he said the community has really impressed him.

More from Nebraska Football

“I’ve never felt so much love from a school’s fans like the Huskers have shown me love.” George said. He added that he’s been getting some love from the coaches and has struck up some pretty solid relationships in a relatively short period of time.

"“Me and coach Held have built a pretty good relationship. I’ve also built a good relationship with the DBs coach, coach Fisher”"

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that either of these coaches have managed to make an impression quickly. Held has stood out on the recruiting front since he first returned to Nebraska. Fisher has had a lower profile so far, but considering the talented defensive players giving the Huskers a look, it’s clear Fisher can do a job on the recruiting front.

The Texas-based, Louisiana native says he’s been getting recruited pretty hard by a number of schools, but Nebraska is the first Power 5 conference school to offer him a scholarship. It appears George is a continuation of a JUCO formula the coaches are using to restock the talent base at NU quickly.

Because George would have three years left to play, he stands out as an underclassman defensive back who already has success (27 tackles and two interceptions in 2017) at a level above high school.

George hasn’t seen Lincoln yet but the defensive back wants to see everything Nebraska football has to offer on an official visit. While he hasn’t nailed down a date, he said he plans to hit town either the end of this month or the beginning of February.

Kenneth George Jr. also expects the Nebraska football coaches to visit him at Trinity sometime later in January. When they do, they’ll be looking to close the deal on yet another talented JUCO prospect.
