Nebraska football offers junior college defensive back
The Nebraska football team continues to go after junior college talent. This time it’s Trinity Valley Community College’s Kenneth George Jr.
The new Nebraska football coaching staff has made no secret about its willingness to go after Junior College players. It’s clear that if they think they have a hole in the roster, they’ve fine filling it with JUCO talent.
This was further demonstrated when the team offered defensive back Kenneth George Jr over the weekend. George announced the offer on his official Twitter account.
The big difference here might be the fact that the JUCO player is a bit under the radar when it comes to recruiting services. That doesn’t mean the kid doesn’t have some real talent.

In his redshirt freshman season, he played in 11 games for Trinity Valley Community College in Texas. In those 11 games, he recorded 27 tackles and two interceptions. The Cardinals managed to post a 9-3 record in 2017.
It’s not a real secret why the Huskers’ coaches are interested in George, considering he would apparently have three to play three. This means the coaches would be getting a player that has some college experience but can still be developed and molded by the new staff.
The Huskers have had quite a bit of success when it comes to getting the JUCO players they target. Nebraska as already grabbed one of the top running backs, linebackers, and wide receiver in the 2018 JUCO class.

With such a small 2018 class, Scott Frost and his crew have clearly taken the approach that they can get some short-timers into Lincoln and rebuild quickly.
After seeing what the team did to Auburn on Monday afternoon, it’s hard to doubt any aspect of the group’s approach to how they are going to bring the Nebraska football program back from the brink. Kenneth George Jr. looks to a piece of that rebuild.
