The Nebraska football team continues to try and revamp their defense with an offer to talented linebacker Caleb Tannor.

The Nebraska football staff has been working overtime to make sure their first class is a good one. While they have been operating behind the eight ball, they aren’t letting that stop them from trying.

While Scott Frost and company are getting ready for their bowl game with UCF, they’re also still working overtime recruiting. That was evident last night when four-star linebacker Caleb Tannor announced he’d received a scholarship offer.

The offer shows the Huskers know that they need to upgrade the defense. It turns out the staff is hitting all the need areas.

It was just a few days ago that they went after one of the better o-lineman in the 2018 recruiting class. Rivals lists Tannor as the 25th best linebacker in the class and the 34th best player in the class.

If the Huskers are going to hope to land Tannor, they’re going to need to fight off some stout competition. Tannor has been offered by most of the teams in the SEC, including Auburn, LSU and Tennessee.

The coaches also have a bit of a relationship with Tannor from before as they recruited him when they were at UCF. It’s not entirely clear just how much Tannor is interested in the Huskers.

It’s possible the staff is hoping having a bigger school behind them will lure him in. The staff is clearly sold on Tannor as being a target they would like to bring onto campus.

Weighing in at 6’3″ and 235, he’s got the stereotypical body for a division 1 linebacker. Now we’ll just have to see whether or not Frost and his gang can get Caleb Tannor to take an official visit to the Nebraska football facility and check out Lincoln.
