The new Nebraska football staff is looking at a big weekend.

The Nebraska football team’s new coaching staff is going to have a big weekend. Among those visiting is a big wide receiver named Justin McGriff.

McGriff was only offered earlier this week but it looks like he’s very interested in the Huskers. The quick turn around makes sense since he was already successfully recruited by the new staff.

McGriff is still technically a commit to UCF, though it appears that commitment could be undercut. While McGriff registers as just a three-star player, he’s got a frame that could be put to good use.

The Tampa native weighs in at 6-6 and 210 pounds. While most colleges see him as a wide receiver/tight end in college, he’s also someone who has played defensive end.

No matter what position he suits up for, he’s got the measurables that could make him quite the weapon for whatever team he ends up going to. When you consider the early signing period is just a few weeks away, it appears the Nebraska football coaching staff is trying to get as many weapons on board.

Scott Frost and his team have been throwing out offers like candy since they were hired. They’ve gotten enough bites that this weekend is going to see some big-time targets.

It might help to pull in targets like current Tennessee quarterback commit Adrian Martinez to see the kind of receivers they could be throwing to. Juco quarterback recruit Terry Wilson is expected to be on hand as well.

While there appear to be quite a few targets interested and quite a few visiting, Scott Frost and company haven’t managed to get a commit yet. It’s possible that could change for the Nebraska football team by the end of the weekend. Those commits need to come soon in order to keep the positivity going.
