The Nebraska Cornhuskers’ coaching staff isn’t resting on its collective laurels, going after a four-star Pennsylvania receiver who already has some big scholarship offers.

Mark Webb Jr. has already drawn interest from schools like Georgia and Alabama and has a scholarship offer from Penn State under his belt as well. This hasn’t stopped Mike Riley and his staff from making it clear they want this uber-talented receiver to be wearing the crimson and cream next year.

Webb tweeted out on Thursday afternoon he had officially received an offer from the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ though he didn’t include any information about when or if he was going to be visiting the school.

That shouldn’t come as a surprise, since recruits generally just like to shout out that they have been given an offer. Planning on when and where they’re going to visit comes later. The good news for the Huskers is, it doesn’t appear Webb is close to announcing his top choice, nor should he if the offers keep rolling in like this.

Rated as a four-star by Rivals and 247 Sports, Scout has the Archbishop Wood wide receiver as a three-star recruit but that service also calls him the best WR in the state of Pennsylvania and the fourth best receiver in the region.

"Blessed to receive an offer from the University of Nebraska‼️"

When it comes to schools to beat for Webb, it appears the Nebraska Cornhuskers have Penn State and Georgia to worry about most, as most recruiting services think he’s got a lean towards the Bulldogs.

Even if Mark Webb Jr isn’t someone who Riley can convince to come to Nebraska, offering these kinds of players shows the Huskers are serious about going after the best of the best. That approach has worked well considering the 2017 class for the Huskers already has 9 commits and currently ranks 15th among Rivals team rankings.
