5. Terrell Newby- I-back: With Terrell Newby coming off of a career game last week, there’s no question, he has become a marked man during Miami’s practices. Newby asked for more opportunities, and he was rewarded with 28 carries for 198 yards. He also tallied three touchdowns, giving him four on the season.

The coaching staff showed plenty of faith in Newby, but it doesn’t mean he will be a one-man show at I-back for the Huskers. Averaging 6.3 yards per game is nice, but Miami is a big step up from the South Alabama defense. In addition, Newby will depend on his line creating some nice running lanes.

Newby also has the talent to get open in the passing game. If he dominating for the Cornhuskers’ offense, then Nebraska will be playing at a high level. If he’s splitting time with the Imani Cross and Mikale Wilbon, Newby will have his carries severely limited.

He answered the bell in his second start, now we have to see how Terrell Newby handles prosperity. Maybe he can earn another Big Ten Conference offensive Player of the Week award.
