Around the Corn: Defense recruits

facebooktwitterreddit

In this twitterverse (yeah I might have made that one up but that’s twitter universe shortened) you can now hear from the Husker recruits unfiltered. I’m not sure that’s a totally good thing but that’s where we are… Some do it for attention, some do it for shock value and some do it because it’s how that generation lives. Here’s some of what we found out there.

Defense side: Cornerbacks picked up Willie Sykes from Spring, Texas. He’ll join Eric Lee, Jr and Avery Anderson and Aaron Williams (safety) who are already enrolled and enjoying Lincoln. All of them were featured on our CB list.

Linebackers Tyrin Ferguson and more recently Mohamed Barry committed to the Husker Blackshirt crew. Coach Riley certainly isn’t wasting time working on guys he wants in his program. Word is Barry is a great get!  Dedrick Young is already enrolled. A lot has changed since we focused on the LB position 3 weeks ago.

And finally Daishon Neal made it “firm” after scuttlebutt about the assistant coaches from Michigan not being as palatable as Husker coaches. Guess it pays to be the “NICE GUY.” (been waiting to say that!) He’s on the DE side of things with Carlos Davis. Twin brother Khalil is listed as a DT.

No, we aren’t ignoring the Offense. It’s just that I like the Blackshirts a little more. But be patient…that article will be out soon as well.  In the meantime, GO BIG RED!!!
