The Detroit Lions gained another last Sunday and have added two more former Husker football alumni this past week.

Meanwhile, many of the big name ex-Huskers continue to stand out and another former member of the Nebraska family continues his meteoric rise as one of the league’s most productive tight ends.

Lavonte David (Tampa Bay Buccaneers): Led the team with eight tackles, TFL

Ndamukong Suh (Detroit Lions): two tackles, one sack

Niles Paul (Washington Redskins): six receptions for 68 yards

Roy Helu Jr. (Washington Redskins):  one rush for one yard and a touchdown, one reception for 66 yards

Sam Koch (Baltimore Ravens): three punts for 152 yards (50.7 avg); one punt inside the 20

Jared Crick (Houston Texans): five tackles

Josh Brown (New York Giants): 3-for-3 on field goals(long of 39), 3-for-3 on extra points

Mohammed Seisay (Detroit Lions): two tackles, TFL (called up from practice squad)

Dominic Raiola (Detroit Lions): Helped lead Lions to 353 total yards in a 19-7 win over the Packers

Will Compton (Washington Redskins): one tackle

Zach Bowman (New York Giants): one tackle

INJURED

Alfonzo Dennard (New England Patriots): Out with a shoulder injury

Matt Slauson (Chicago Bears): Out with a high ankle sprain

Rex Burkhead (Cincinnati Bengals): Out with a knee injury

SIGNED

Alex Henery (Detroit Lions): “The Skinny Assassin”, who was cut following the preseason by the Eagles, gets a second chance with the Lions. Detroit cut struggling rookie Nate Freese who missed four field goals already this season.
