It goes without saying that Abdullah is the heart and sole of this Nebraska offense, if not the team.
With the aforementioned impressive Owls defensive backfield, it should come as no surprise if the Huskers lean heavily on the running game.
No. 8 begins his final campaign as a Husker on Saturday, and it should start off with a bang.
Last season, Abdullah was one of the most consistent performers in the country. He averaged 6.2 yards per carry, adding nine touchdowns on the ground and two by way of a catch.
He’s a player that defensive coordinators have nightmares about, and Florida Atlantic must improve on last season’s No. 68 rush defense to have a chance at slowing him down.
(Bonus prediction: He’ll run for 136 yards and a touchdown)
