It’s the question not only Huskers want to know, but the nation. When’s Nebraska going to actually be “back?”

The head man himself said it happened following Nebraska’s 33-0 rout of the Arizona Wildcats in the 2009 Holiday Bowl proclaiming, “Nebraska’s back and we’re here to stay.”
It’s completely understandable why Pelini felt that way. His program seemed to have momentum, he’d put together one of the best defenses in school history and looked like it could build on its success in 2010.
This year, he has something he hadn’t a year after Ndamukong Suh left: An offense that can move the ball with above average consistency and a schedule that should be a yellow brick road to the Big Ten Championship.
He can stand behind his defense and I could see him doing that.
However, due to the uncertainty at offensive line and quarterback, I don’t see Pelini touting this team too geatly until there’s hardware to hold above its head.
