2. Alfonzo Dennard

One half of a scary NFL-bound duo with Prince Amukamara, Dennard would terrorize Big 12 and Big Ten quarterbacks alike before going pro.

Thanks to his efforts, Nebraska allowed a Big Ten-low 51 percent pass completion rate and was awarded the Tatum-Woodson Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year award in 2011. During his Cornhusker career, Dennard had racked up four interceptions and was credited with 21 pass breakups.

He was an absolute menace during the 2011 tilt against Michigan State, a game that would ultimately result in that year’s defense being awarded its Blackshirts. He batted away three Kirk Cousins passes and helped keep the Spartan quarterback to 86 total yards through the air.

Several setbacks dropped his draft stock including an altercation with a police officer. However, Dennard has paid his debt to society and after being selected in round No. 7 by the New England Patriots, looks to begin life anew.
