There is no doubt in Lincoln that Dylan Raiola won't be a phenomenal quarterback in the years to come. Even in his first season as a starter as a true freshman, Raiola had a lot of highs; he just also had a lot of lows, and they weren't normal lows, they were really low lows.

Raiola, however, had now had a whole offseason to work on his skills before heading into his second season at Nebraska, and not only does he feel like he has made good progress, but head coach Matt Rhule is very satisfied with what he has seen from his young quarterback.

Rhule joined former Alabama quarterback and ESPN college football analyst Greg McElroy on his podcasts Always College Football and spoke about the program this next season, but both touched on Raiola and what this next season will look like for the talented gunslinger.

Both McElroy and Rhule agreed that Raiola has the talent to be an elite quarterback, but he definitely showed he needed work after last season, and Rhule said that Raiola has done just. Rhule said the big thing for Raiola this next season is not necessarily improving the good things, but making sure what went wrong last season doesn't get worse.

Every quarterback is going to have lows, but it is about making sure they aren't happening more than the highs do. Rhule said that this offseason, Raiola has stuck to himself and held both himself and everyone else to a high standard to be even better next season.

Rhule also mentioned how he believes Raiola and new offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen will be a great tag team this next season. With a new offensive coordinator, there will come some growing pains in the first few games, but once those two get on the same page and get going, the Nebraska offense could really take off and be on another level in 2025 than they were in 2024.
