Nebraska has now created the destruction of Troy yet again as the Huskers absolutely demolished the Trojans 76-47 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. After a bit of a slow start, guard Pryce Sandfort put the cape on for Nebraska and was an absolutely sharp-shooter from the floor, especially from beyond the arc.

It felt like nothing Troy did was going to stop the Huskers from making program history and getting their first win in the NCAA Tournament. Even Tory head coach Scott Cross has to give Nebraska it's flower, admitting that the Huskers were simply unstoppable and the the Big Red crowd was unbelieveable.

"They are really really freaking good," Cross said in his post game press conference. "The way they shoot the basketball and the way they defend."

Scott Cross could not say enough about Pryce Sanfort's performance vs. Troy

The real difference maker for Nebraska today was Sandfort, who led not just Nebraska, but both teams with 23 points, going 7-for-12 from beyond the arc. At one point, it felt like no matter what, Sandfort couldn't miss, and Troy knew they had to keep him in check.

When the Trojans started cheating out on Sandfort, Nebraska was able to adjust and get the ball inside for easy baskets. So, even when he wasn't scoring, Sandfort was a problem for Troy. Cross knew that Troy was going to have to stop Sandfort, but it reached a point where the sharpshooter wasn't letting anyone stop him.

Not only did Nebraska create problems for Troy on the court, but the fans did in the stands. It was practically a home game for the Huskers, and the Big Red faithful travelled and showed up big time. Cross give Vanderbilt a huge warning, saying that it certainly will be like a home game for the Huskers int he next round.
