Nebraska football has played, but never beaten these programs
Nebraska vs. Southern California
In a series that features two of the most tradition-rich programs in college football, Nebraska is actually 0-4-1 all-time against Southern California. That might be a surprise given how good Nebraska has been as a program.
This series began in Lincoln in 1969. That year, the Trojans took home a 31-21 win. In 1970, the two teams played to a 21-21 tie in Los Angeles.
They dind't play again until 2006. That game, also in L.A. was a 28-10 Trojan victory. A year later, USC won in Lincoln 49-31.
Finally, in the 2014, Holiday Bowl, USC squeaked out a 45-42 win over the Huskers. However, there will soon be other opportunities for the Huskers to get a win over the Trojans.
Now that USC is set to join the Big Ten for the 2024 season, this series will be played more frequently. In fact, they will meet again in Lincoln in 2025.
